Presentation of the Guidelines for Responsible Business Conduct of the OECD to the students of UNWE

On  29 of May 2023, the Executive Director of the Bulgarian SME Promotion Agency (BSMEPA), Phd. Boyko Takov, in his capacity as head of the National Contact Point (NCP) of Bulgaria for Responsible Business Conduct and Prof. phd. Dimitar Dimitrov, Principal of the University of National and World Economy (UNWE), signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The main direction in the bilateral cooperation will be the presentation of the mechanism of the National Contact Point (NCP) of Bulgaria for responsible business conduct according to the Guidelines of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) to the relevant teachers, and they will subsequently pass the information on to the students.

The Memorandum also covers bilateral cooperation in the following directions – cooperation in the preparation of joint projects and their subsequent implementation, cooperation through mutual assistance in conducting other specific activities and events such as Academies representing mutual interest, after prior agreement and others. The subject of the Memorandum is the mutual cooperation between UNWE, on the one hand, and BSMEPA, on the other hand, with a view to supporting the successful implementation of the policy, goals and tasks of both parties. The term of the Memorandum is 3 years, during which it will be aimed at introducing and supporting students and businesses.

The University of National and World Economy is the first to have a first-hand opportunity to learn about the National Contact Point mechanism and the OECD Guidelines for Responsible Business Conduct. Also, UNWE is the first partner university with which joint activities contained in the NCP promotional plan are planned.
