The NCP Secretariat was invited to attend the bilateral conference on “Preventing and combating abuses of mobile workers’ rights “, within the framework of the Cooperation Work Program between the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Germany and the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy of the Republic of Bulgaria for the period 2023-2024, which took place on October 25, 2024, in the Marinela Hotel.

The event was attended by the deputy minister of Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, Mrs. Natalia Efremova, the ambassador of Germany Irene Maria Plank, the state secretary of the Federal Ministry Dr. Rolf Schmachtenberg, representatives of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the International Labor Organization, the European Authority for labor etc.

The main topic of the conference was the guarantee through common actions of safe and healthy working conditions in construction, transport, meat industry. Joint initiatives of the control institutions for compliance with labor legislation were also discussed, as well as the improvement of workers’ access to information about their labor and social rights.
