BSMEPA is preparing a website dedicated to the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Companies for Responsible Business Conduct<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Within the framework of the fourth annual conference “CSR: Tools for implementation and development environment”, organized by Enterprise magazine, with the support of CSR Advise Box, BSMEPA and its executive director Boyko Takov presented the role of the National Contact Point for the implementation of the Guidelines of the Organization for economic cooperation and development (OECD) for multinational companies for responsible business conduct, whose Secretariat is managed precisely by the Agency.<\/p>\n

The head of the Secretariat of the National Contact Point is the Executive Director of BSMEPA, who presented details on the structure of the unit and the Guidelines themselves.<\/p>\n

“The Guidelines are a set of voluntary recommendations for responsible business conduct followed in OECD countries. We are currently working on a site that will provide accessible information to companies regarding good practices and recommendations for companies that work both internationally and within the country,” commented the executive director of BSMEPA.<\/p>\n

“Among the duties of the NCP, consideration of cases of non-observance of the Guidelines will also be taken into account, where it would act as a mediator between interested parties, to promote dialogue. This is a really important tool that, although voluntary, can improve the business environment in the country, since it will introduce standards for business behavior respected by the most developed economic countries”, commented the executive director of BSMEPA.<\/p>\n

The executive director’s speech took place in the framework of the discussion dedicated to public policies and the legal framework of corporate social responsibility, moderated by Dr. Marina Stefanova from CSR AdviceBox, and Ilina Mutafchieva, Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister on Climate Policies, Ministerial council.<\/p>\n

Along with them, within the framework of the conference, leading experts from the field of corporate social responsibility discussed European policies with a focus on the implementation of the UN Global Goals for sustainable development, responsible investing, the integrated reporting and introduction of international standards for good corporate governance and others.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
