The Bulgarian Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA), in its capacity as the National Contact Point of Bulgaria for Responsible Business Conduct<\/strong> (NCP), is organizing an event on the topic “Responsible Business Conduct – The Entrepreneur’s Path<\/strong>“, April 3th, 2025<\/strong>, Hilton Hotel, Musala Hall, Sofia.<\/span><\/div>\n

The main goal of the event is to promote and highlight the importance of responsible business conduct as a key mechanism for promoting sustainable growth and long-term business success.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

Some of the topics that will be covered are the role of the state in relation to responsible business conduct, the path of the entrepreneur, and the financial opportunities for businesses focused on creating a social and ecological business environment.<\/p>\n

To support businesses in implementing the principles of responsible business conduct, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is creating a mechanism \u2013 National Contact Points<\/strong> (NCPs) in member countries and acceding countries. Bulgaria, on the path to accession and full membership in the OECD, has established a NCP, which is responsible for promoting the OECD Guidelines for Responsible Business Conduct<\/strong> and serves as an extrajudicial mechanism for resolving cases of non-compliance (referred to as \u201cspecific cases\u201d).<\/span><\/div>\n

The main goal set for the National Contact Point is to raise awareness among Bulgarian enterprises about responsible business practices. <\/strong>Businesses can simultaneously contribute to sustainable economic, environmental and social progress, as well as by minimizing the adverse impacts of their activities, improve the internationalization process and increase their capacity in supply chains.<\/span><\/div>\n

The goal of the event is to demonstrate how when ethical practices are adopted by entrepreneurs, they serve not only as a foundation for organizational success, but also as a guide to creating a positive impact on society and the environment.<\/span><\/div>\n
